Goodness me...

We had a delayed Christmas, I woke at 4.30a.m. Christmas day to find our youngest DD ill with gastro and then at 8a.m got a text from other DD to say she was sick as well, so their gift opening was delayed to Boxing day and we had a quiet Christmas lunch with my mum, brother and DH's mum. But more was to follow, that evening DH and I came down with the same thing!! Needless to say it's been a very quiet time for us, everyone is recovering now, but this did cause me to stop and think of the people in the world that may not have had the best Christmas, be it through sickness or suffering, and I'm hopeing that in 2011 something wonderful will happen for them...

Five Days to Christmas...

It's been a while since I've visited, I ended up taking the goose off the eggs, she would have faded away while being determined to hatch her eggs, sadly none of them were fertile, but she has settled back to daily life, grazing again. I must say she, the gander & the duck have been thoroughly enjoying the wet weather after the long spell of drought we've had. We have an unusual menagerie here, not really a working farm as such, I seem to manage to end up with whatever is needing a home as a sanctuary! But I do love all my needy little pets!...
For Christmas this year it just going to be my Mum, 1 brother, M.I.L, the 2 D.D's, hubby & I, just a quiet family gathering, then I'm hopeing I can get myself organized enough to acheive something special in the new year! If I don't get back here before Christmas I wish everyone a "Happy, Healthy & Prosperous Christmas and New Year". X X

Saturday already..

and it's rained most of the day, which was probably lucky because I was able to sit and sew sequins onto A's mermaid costume for the dress up 21st birthday she and S were going to tonight. S also sewed some beading on, S was going as Safari Barbie and had her outfit organized already. They are both looking forward to going and their outfits look Great!
Mother Goose is still sitting on her eggs, I'm guessing that the babies should hatch any day now, well keep my fingers crossed anyhow.
Have a good day, and we'll talk again soon.

Where does..

the time go, here it is Saturday, and I've only just got back here. DH is at work, the Girls have gone shopping and after the heat of yesterday there was a nice drop of rain over night to freshen everything up. Spring is a beautiful time of year, the swallows are back and we have 2 families this year, so I've had the pleasure of watching the babies venture out of the nests and practise flying. Haven't seen any snakes yet but with the days getting warmer I'm always keeping an eye out now! Mother goose is sitting on a clutch of eggs, she's been there 2 weeks now, I hope she manages to hatch a few babies, but I'm not sure how many eggs there are. Well I'd better get back to work, I will come back soon.
